PUNCH CLUB INC DOCUMENTARY
DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION · MOTION GRAPHICS · VIDEOGRAPHY
This project consisted of creating a 30-second title sequence and a 90-second documentary featuring my coworker Jose Diaz at Punch Club Inc. The purpose was to showcase the various businesses under the Punch Club umbrella and highlight the services they offer. The title sequence focused on visually engaging, slow-motion footage of DTF printing, embroidery, heat pressing, and applying DTF prints, while the documentary expanded on Jose’s narration, B-roll of services, and graphical elements to enhance storytelling.
Title Sequence Storyboard
The 30-second title sequence begins with a close-up of a DTF printer in action, captured at 60 FPS and slowed down in post-production to create smooth, cinematic motion. It transitions to an embroidery machine stitching a garment, emphasizing detail and precision. The next sequence shows a heat press transferring a design onto a t-shirt, with subtle motion graphics overlay to introduce “Punch Custom.” The title sequence concludes with a quick montage of all services and a full-screen animated logo for Punch Club Inc., creating a cohesive and visually engaging opening for the documentary.

90 Second Documentary Proposal
The 90-second documentary opens with a medium-wide shot of the Punch Club Inc. building, panning slowly as Jose Diaz introduces the company. Medium close-ups of Jose speaking are intercut with B-roll footage of the services, including DTF printing, embroidery, heat pressing, and final products. Graphics overlays are added sparingly to identify each service and branch of the business. Slow-motion clips emphasize the craft and detail behind each service, while transitions and cross dissolves maintain cinematic pacing. The documentary closes with Jose summarizing the vision of Punch Club, followed by a wide shot of the workspace and the company logo with contact information, ensuring a professional and polished ending.

Process & Assets
All footage for the title sequence and documentary was shot at 60 FPS to allow smooth slow-motion effects. Key assets include video clips of each service, still images of equipment and products, and graphics overlays used to label services and branches. Storyboards for both the title sequence and documentary were created
to plan shot composition and timing. These assets are presented in sequence to show how they were combined in Adobe Premiere and After Effects to achieve the final polished video.

Reflection
This project provided significant technical challenges and learning opportunities. I became proficient in Adobe After Effects, learning to keyframe elements for smooth motion, integrate graphics overlays, and control timing precisely to match both the narration and slow-motion footage. Managing multiple clips in Premiere and After Effects taught me how to maintain workflow efficiency while achieving high-quality
output. One challenge was syncing slow-motion B-roll with Jose’s narration and ensuring graphical overlays complemented rather than distracted from the story. By refining timing, using easing on keyframes, and carefully organizing assets, I was able to solve these issues. These skills will inform future motion graphics projects, improving my ability to combine technical precision with clear storytelling.
